How it works
Name something you think you know — a subject, a passage, a claim — and Stumped questions you on a ladder from basic recall up to boundary conditions and counterexamples. It remembers how far you got in each domain.
Free grills and credits
Managed grills have a free daily allowance (currently 3 per day, resetting at midnight). Extra managed credits are sold as consumables through the App Store and never expire. If you use your own model API key, grills do not consume the app’s free or paid allowance — you pay your provider directly.
Bring your own API key
Open Mine → API key. Choose a provider, paste the key, and save. The key is stored encrypted and only its last four characters are shown afterwards. You can replace or remove it at any time; removing it returns you to the managed DeepSeek mode.
If the app says your key was rejected, check that the key is active and that the model names exist on that provider. For a custom provider, the base URL must be an HTTPS OpenAI-compatible endpoint.
Purchases and restoring
Purchases are tied to your Stumped account, not to the device. Log in on another device to see your credit balance. Consumable credits cannot be “restored” from Apple in the way subscriptions can; the server-side balance is the record. If a purchase is missing, contact us with the App Store receipt and the approximate purchase time.
Delete your account
Mine → Delete account permanently removes your account, grill history, domain profiles, curves, credit ledger and saved API key. This cannot be undone.
